This introductory workshop covers the pros and cons of the various agricultural sales channels in Quebec, as well as some marketing strategies. In a series of videos, Véronique Bouchard, General Manager of Ferme aux petits oignons, a socially responsible cooperative farm, speaks about developing sales markets and strategies for success. The workshop also features videos from Jean-Nick Trudel, General Manager of the Association des marchés publics du Québec, and Thibault Renouf, founder of online platform Arrivage.

In this introductory workshop, in partnership with Nathalie Tanguay and the non-profit Au cœur des familles agricoles, we cover topics like well-being and personal and professional counselling, as well as issues such as mental workload, invisible work and stress management. We share approaches and resources to find the right balance and better manage the various facets of farm life.

Summary
With expertise from the Agriclimate project, this workshop offers a general introduction to climate change in the agriculture sector in Quebec. It explores the impacts of climate change on the agricultural environment, sources of GHG emissions on farms, general climate targets and adaptation strategies in the agriculture sector. In a series of videos, a farmer participating in the Agriclimate Pilot Farm project presents a sample carbon footprint calculation. The workshop also goes over resources for information on these challenges.

This introductory workshop lets you take a critical look at how your farm uses resources. Using examples and testimonials from LN Saint-Jacques, General Manager of the Centrale Agricole farm cooperative, and Sonia Lefebvre, Manager of the CUMA du Haut St-Laurent agricultural labour and machinery cooperative, we explain some of the economic and environmental benefits of taking a circular approach on your farm.
